The flap fitting 1010421 (Microwinch) is a compact flap stay for downward opening furniture flaps and works with a resilient steel cable.

When opening, the mechanism brakes the downward movement of the flap and thus prevents an uncontrolled falling down.

The end position of the opened flap can be adjusted, so that the opening path can be adapted to furniture and use.

The version with 6 kg (13 lbs) braking force is designed for flap heights from 210 to 480 mm (8-17/64″ - 18-57/64″); the permissible combination of flap height, flap weight and number of mechanisms is determined according to the selection table.

Since the cable flap stay 1010421 can be mounted horizontally or vertically, as well as on the right or left, it can also be used flexibly in shallower furniture carcases.

Assembly:

• Fixing is done using the six screws (Euro screws) included in the scope of delivery
• The cable flap stay 1010421 has 2 mounting holes with ⌀6.5 mm at a distance of 110 mm; the separate flap connection also has two mounting points
• First, the number of mechanisms suitable for the flap height and flap weight must be determined using the selection table
• Then the mounting points on the carcase side are marked according to the desired horizontal or vertical installation position and pre-drilled for the mechanism with ⌀5 mm x 12 mm
• For a wooden or wood-based flap, two holes of ⌀5 mm (13/64″) x 13 mm and the central mounting hole of ⌀10 mm x 11 mm are made for the flap connection
• The flap stay and the flap connection are then mounted with the provided fastening screws
• Then the steel cable is connected to the flap connection and checked for correct running. Finally, the opening end position is adjusted, whereby the flap should be relieved during adjustment (for further details, see assembly drawing)
